ABCA consulted with Rochdale Boroughwide Housing to come up with a system that can protect the “Seven Sisters” tower blocks in Rochdale.
During this consultation process, a wireless system, from leading fire detection and alarms manufacturer Hyfire, became the obvious choice to work alongside a waking watch and a BS8629 Evacuation system. Wireless was the chosen solution due to being able to achieve a swift installation combined with minimum disruption to residents.
Working to a tight project timescale for the installation of both systems, it was important for us to have the ability to pre-program the system before installing the devices in their final locations. The power and flexibility of the Hyfire TauREX software, allowed us to configure the systems remotely and simply put the device into “sleep mode”. Once installed in their final location, it was simple to “wake up” these devices and have them report back to the main control panel.
